Thoughtful garden care, one season at a time

Helping you care for the place you call home.

Every property has its own character. Let’s begin with a walk around your yard.

I’ll start by listening. You can tell me how you use your outdoor space, what you enjoy, and what you’d like to change. From there, we’ll decide together what makes the most sense for your yard.

Your yard is safe with me.

You don’t need to tidy up before I arrive.

You don’t need to know the names of your plants.

You don’t need to have a plan.

We’ll start with the yard you actually have and figure out what comes next.

A calmer place to begin

You are not behind.

Gardens change. Families get busy. Plants spread, shrubs outgrow their space, and projects wait longer than anyone planned. None of that needs an apology.

My favorite part of this work is watching someone relax as the yard begins to feel understandable again. By the end of a visit, you should have a clearer sense of what is already working, what can wait, and what the next thoughtful step might be.

How we start

We begin by walking around together.

Every project begins with a walk around your property. I’ll ask questions, listen carefully, and share what I notice. The goal is to make thoughtful decisions that fit your home, your priorities, and the landscape that’s already there.

01

Listen

Every yard has a story. I begin by understanding how you use your outdoor space and what matters most to you.

02

Observe

Together we’ll notice what’s thriving, what’s struggling, and what opportunities your landscape already offers.

03

Care

We’ll make thoughtful decisions together and care for your landscape one season at a time.

It often starts like this…

Every yard is different, but many conversations begin in familiar places.

“This is a garden I’ve inherited, and I don’t know where to start.”

We’ll walk through it together, identify the plants that are thriving, learn the history if we can, and decide what you’d like to preserve, restore, or change.

“Can I keep my family’s irises?”

Of course. Some plants carry memories just as much as they carry flowers. We’ll build around what matters most to you.

“Please remove the bittersweet.”

Some plants have simply outgrown their welcome. We’ll talk through the best approach and help restore balance to your landscape.

“This was my mom’s garden, and I’d like to make it better.”

Gardens grow and change, just as families do. We’ll honor what’s already there while helping the garden continue into its next chapter.

“I love birds, but I don’t know what to plant.”

That’s a wonderful place to begin. Together, we’ll choose plants that support wildlife while fitting naturally into your landscape.

“Please divide my bulbs.”

Sometimes caring for a garden means helping it continue doing what it already does well.

Let’s start where you are

Your garden doesn’t need to be ready before we meet.

It doesn’t need to be tidy. It doesn’t need to look like anyone else’s. We’ll simply walk around together, talk about what you hope for, and decide what comes next.
